Exercise gaming and cheaper alternative exercises part 2

June 10th, 2007 by webmaster

If you have a Wii, you can play some of the games - but make sure you’re standing up for all of them! The Wii controllers aren’t heavy, but they can give an exercise! Alternatively, try holding your arms up for 2 minutes, then try 5, then 10, then add hand weights (even your phone… if it’s cordless/a mobile/cell).

Also.. lie on the ground on your side and lift the leg that’s on top upwards to about 45 degrees. Keep the legs straight! Hold that to the count of 40, then increase your numbers… it should work your butt, thighs and calf muscles… when you’ve finished counting, bend the leg and bring it back down to your body, or just lower it back down to the other foot. You should try to aim for 10 repetitions of this.. in no time your ass will be….. sore lol.. no pain no gain ;) . Awesome and free way to get your butt muscles up.

Tricep work - that one’s easy.. you can use the couch (lol I can’t stop thinking about that area of the house lol), coffee table (depending on your height) or the kitchen bench… if you’re taller - otherwise that won’t really work. Gravity is the force you’re aiming to have against you. Speaking of the kitchen bench, if you just enough flexibility, face it fully or side-on, put one of your feet on it (be sure to wipe it down properly when finished ;) ) and extend that leg - making sure it’s straight - and either move the bottom foot that’s on the ground backwards away from the sink for a muscle-controlled stretch, or just bend that leg without moving it away. Make sure before you do anything after putting your foot on the bench (or desk), a maximum of your ankle and foot are on the upper surface. That way you’ll get full benefits - and probably won’t hurt yourself as much lol.

I’m sure there are many more ideas you can do for exercise that doesn’t cost anything - you just have to look at something you usually use and think of another use, really. If you have a baby, tie him/her to the front of you with a baby carrier while you’re doing yoga etc - this will help work your tummy muscles etc.

Ok … So I’ve done my research.. and I’m gonna get them!

June 6th, 2007 by webmaster

I have a few friends who’ve been on Proactol for 2 months and they’re really looking good! Sonya said she finds using them just before she eats most of her meals has had a great effect on her digestion she has more energy for exercising (this is a girl who doesn’t usually like exercising). This really is looking awesome! I’m going to try it - just one round of fiber pills for a starter… just to see what it does for me. I have some pamphlets Tracy gave me when she was over last - been reading over them recently and they’re looking good I tell ya lol.
Will order it later this afternoon, right now I gotta hit the exercise bike before I procrastinate further! lol Can’t wait!
Beat me there - order it now! lol Tell me how it is… I’m in Australia so you’ll probably get it before me lol.

Proactol research underway - so far…

June 4th, 2007 by webmaster

Ok after a heap of research I’ve been doing.. Here’s a Proactol info update.
Proactol’s the product I’m interested in but I found another one that’s similar but seems a bit too extreme… It’s called Xenical. I found (at least… these are the ones I’m typing out lol) 4 awesome benefits that Proactol has that Xenical doesn’t….:

1. Proactol is a fat absorbing weight-loss assistant that’s available on the open market and doesn’t require a doctor’s prescription (which leads to more expenses) unlike Xenical.. and it’s CLINICALLY proven to work and be 100% safe! It’s just a click away

2. Proactol is purchaseable ONLINE! So you don’t even need to leave home, not even get out of your chair to bother having to go out to see a medical receptionist, then a doctor, then the receptionist again, then the pharmacist and pharmacy assistant, then wait 10 - 20 minutes for the prescription to be filled etc, then have to come all the way home. If you’re uncomfortable with your weight, you don’t have to deal with people look at you and judging you (that’s how I feel) for not just your appearance but “some pill” you’re trying to get to “cure” yourself (sorry, there’s a bit of personal experience in that explanation) of being overweight. So… to me, buying something that’s this effective (according to my friends), online, is better for me :)
It’s QUICK, EASY and non-judging! SO MANY people around the world seem to be buying - this it’s nuts! Check it out!
3. It’s not extreme like Xenical - you need to be severely obese to be allowed to use it and if you use it when having take-away food, you can find yourself getting a bad case of sudden diahorrea!! My Aunt tried it thinking it was a quick fix and embarrassed herself when she was out with her kids. Noone wants that sort of embarrassment! I frikkin’ hate it.
4. It’s a SAFE, fibre-based pill that won’t have an adverse effect on your period, contraceptive pills, inserts, needles etc. Yes, I’ve checked this out for sure - some herbal pills I’ve tried for weightloss have interrupted my cycle and given me 2 periods - even when I was still on active contraceptive pills! That meant two lots of cramps within 2 weeks… Hated it! Proactol’s based on fibre so there’s no problems there!

Check out this Weight Loss Research site. It evaluates many of the well known pills and other substances including hoodia. Read for yourself. If you like what you read, GET IT! Believe me, you won’t be disappointed!
I know weightloss solutions for some people don’t work on others - but… this is different.. no I’m not talking cliche! It’s 100% factual! This is one aspect of weight loss - like ‘general exercise’ - that is proven to work for everyone! Having the fat you eat not being absorbed, having your cholesterol lowered, lowering your weight!!! It’s what you want.

Ok.. after staying up researching this the last two days, I’m going to bed, lol. I’m feeling pretty good about what I’ve found out so far. Will sleep on it :) .

My friends have told me…..

June 2nd, 2007 by webmaster

My friends have been telling me about this fibre-based pill called “Proactol”. Sounds pretty cool lol. Catchy name. Anyway, I’ve been reading these pamphlets and doing some research of my own - non-biased research lol.. so not just hanging around the company sites.

Starting to sound pretty good… They’ve been at it for a couple of months now and they look a lot different to February hahaha! Seriously, they have lost weight. A good amount too - and they look health… ie not eyes sunken and all that.

Will do some more research, and will get back to you on it!

For now - curiosity… check out this research site for weight loss. They mention Proactol… lol a lot. It looks promising I can say!

Exercise Variations and some cheaper alternatives part 1

June 1st, 2007 by webmaster

Ok, so even though i’m only recently back, I’m keen to say, exercise should vary a few times a week. So don’t always do the same reps of the same techniques all the time… Your body will get used to it and you won’t build as much muscle etc. Also, try to get a variation between the types of exercise, like anaerobic and aerobic exercises… ride a bike (like an indoor exercise bike if you don’t want to travel or are afraid of the road safety factor) or go for a walk/jog/run. If you don’t want to do either, you can mix it up a bit! - Try lying on your back (no that’s not just it ;) ) and put your feet up in the air and do air-cycling - it’s cheap cos you don’t need to buy a bike and you don’t need jogging shoes.. yes, you could even do it naked, although the view from certain angles may be a big odd for unexpected onlookers lol.
At least 1/2 an hour of cardio exercise, an hour + if you’re not pushing yourself, then hit a few weights…

Been a while…

May 31st, 2007 by webmaster

Had a long few months working my butt off with a new job.. unfortunately not physically lol.

The gym has taken a back seat with me unfortunately, however, I have recently gotten a new exercise bike for cardio exercises and a Nintendo Wii… as long as you don’t use it the lazy way of just flicking your wrist, it can be very heavy exercise! Also.. as long as you don’t hit or be hit by the person beside you, you should be able to last a good hour or more full-on - especially since you can’t run after the ball (tennis) but still have to lean for it! Your arm will be tired after it though lol.

My birthday

January 10th, 2007 by webmaster

Well i considered going out for dinner and having a big ‘celebratory’ meal with all the extra unhealthy (yet delicious) sides. However, instead I DID go out to dinner and had myself an eye fillet (very lean beef) with salad (no dressing) and a steamed potato. Did the healthy thing…. except I had a few drinks..

and we all know alcohol assists in adding the weight to your body ;) .

New Years Resolutions

December 31st, 2006 by webmaster

Make sure you write down what they are. I know most people don’t stick to them but that’s where you need to combat the stereotype of ‘resolutions are useless’.

Mine:

1. Lost weight to my optimum size which is somewhere between 60 - 65kg (got a while to go)

2. Exercise 3-4 times a week for 40 - 60 minutes to maintain it

3. Eat healthily and if a naughty meal is needed for social purposes (like for instance a ‘Curry Night’ at a friends place.. something I go to where we order curry from a local indian restaurant and we all sit down for a night of gaming, cards and laughter), make sure you have an extra exercise day scheduled for the next day. You won’t see ‘results’ for a few weeks if you’ve been non-stop exercising and eating healthily for over a month.. so it’s best to avoid seeing results by preventing the fat from settling as far as I see it haha.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Rear!

December 29th, 2006 by webmaster

Ok so Xmas has come and gone.. all the gorging’s finished and we’re all feeling a little guilty about all the food we’ve eaten lol.

So, here’s the thing. I had something come over me that made me realise the key to starting weightloss if you’re in a position like mine (I LOVE food and lots of yummy food!!). It’s not necessarily how much you eat but WHAT you eat. You may like to, say, have a salad. And on that salad you feel like adding creamy dressing because you know it will make the salad taste awesome. BUT! Think about what you’re doing. If you’ve already started losing weight or started a weightloss scheme.. even if it’s low in fat - look at the sugar content too! Refined sugar’s not good for you. You know that if you have that extra bit of creamy salad dressing, you’re going to mess up your diet. And although it’ll taste good, once you’ve finished your salad, it’s done… now you have the next few days to work it all off! Was it really worth all the work you’ll have to do to burn off the calories you just ate? Try some balsamic vinegar with your salad instead - or add some fruit and nuts to it to make it tastier and less bitter-lettuce tastes.
Another analogy. For instance, what I got faced with tonight. Everyone in my household tonight had ice cream. Delicious English Toffee (like Hokey Pokey with the crunchy toffee pieces but with more toffee ice cream in it.. not just vanilla) ice cream that claims to be ‘light’ fat-wise and it is… compared to every other ice cream of its sort. Sugar’s high though.. something like 25g/100g. ANYWAY… As my partner spooned scoops of ice cream into his bowl, I looked at it and thought ‘yum’ but then realised that if i had a bowl of ice cream, it would be seriously setting me back on my plans for weight loss. Just one bowl, I said. No matter how small, you need to look at how long you think it’ll take to burn it off. So, to conquer my desperate sugar cravings, I went to the fridge and pulled out a nectarine, peach and a handful of seedless white grapes. I sat down and started munching down my fruit. Now, after 3 hours, I feel much better for doing so and I know that my diet’s still on track.
You have to make sure you really do like the fruits you eat if you’re actually going to try to combat your cravings for naughty sugary foods like ice cream, chocolate, cake and whatnot. I love grapes. Not too fond on peaches and nectarines but ate them in between grapes to make sure it helped fill my stomach.

20 minutes is all you need really from starting to eat to finished. Your stomach will be full.

Drink lots of water - it flushes out toxins and waste and helps you pass faeces. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of water :)
